Yu-Chung Cheng
Professor, Department of Journalism National Chengchi University
Dr. Yu-Chung Cheng is Professor in the Department of Journalism at National Chengchi University. She also serves as Director of the Center for Creativity and Innovation Studies and Editor-in-Chief of Mass Communication Research. Her research interests include social media, computational communication methods, political communication, data journalism, and science and risk/crisis communication. Her recent work examines how digital platforms and social media shape public discourse, information flows, and the interactions between technology and society.
Tang is a Professor in the Department of Communication at National Chung Cheng University (CCU). He previously served as the Director of the CCU Center for Arts and Culture. His extensive editorial background includes serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese Journal of Communication Research, Executive Editor of Communication, Culture & Politics, and the Founding Editor of Communication & Management Research.

Sherry Hsueh-li Lee
Sherry Lee is the COO of The Reporter, an adjunct associate professor at National Taiwan University’s Graduate Institute of Journalism, and the host of the popular podcast “The Real Story”. She also serves as a board member of the Environmental Reporting Collective (ERC). As a lead editor and co-author, she has published several influential books, including The Real Cost of Fish, The Ruined Youth, and the Reporter Casebook series. In addition to numerous journalism awards, her excellence in publishing was recognized with the Grand Prize in Editing at the 2021 Taipei International Book Exhibition and the 2023 Golden Tripod Award for Book Editing.
Currently an Associate Professor at the NTU Graduate Institute of Journalism. With over 30 years in media, she has served as a newspaper and TV journalist, anchor, producer, and news executive, including 18 years as the head of the TVBS News Department. She has produced and hosted the program “Step by Step: Discovering New Taiwan” for over two decades, winning Golden Bell Awards for Best Educational and Cultural Program and Best Host. Recently transitioning into academia, she is dedicated to bridging the gap between professional journalism practice and academic excellence.

Chris Liu
Chris Liu, Vice President of Rti, has extensive experience in international coordination, strategic planning, fundraising, and project management. Prior to joining Rti, he served as Head of the Taiwan Office at the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) from 2021 to 2025. He also held key roles as Program Manager at Reporters Without Borders East Asia Bureau and as Communications Manager at Greenpeace East Asia. Earlier in his career, he worked as an International News Editor at The China Post.
His professional career reflects a strong commitment to media development, democratic governance, international advocacy, and cross-sector collaboration. With a background spanning media, civil society, and international organizations, he brings a global perspective to strengthening public media, democratic resilience, and Taiwan’s international presence.
A seasoned veteran of the media industry, Tzen-Ping Su has held nearly every key editorial role, from reporter to Editor-in-Chief at “The Independence Evening Post” and Chief Editorial Writer at “Taiwan Daily”. Beyond the newsroom, he served the nation as Minister of the Government Information Office and later spearheaded the modernization of the Central News Agency as its Chairman. Now, as Chairman of the Foundation for Excellent Journalism Award, Su continues to champion the integrity of the press, dedicating himself to fostering professionalism and social accountability across Taiwan’s media landscape.
