He served as the New York Bureau Chief at The Yomiuri Shimbun from 2016 to 2019, where he was deeply involved in covering the “fake news” era. After returning to Japan, he was assigned as the chief of the Education Network at the Tokyo HQ, where he successfully launched the Japanese version of “Media Literacy Education,” now taught in many schools across Japan. In 2021, he was assigned as the Deputy Chief of the President’s Office to address the challenges facing the traditional newspaper industry. He is currently the Deputy Secretary-General of OPCIP, leading the development of the Originator Profile (OP) technology.
Jeonghwan Lee previously served as the editor of Monthly Mahl (Discourse) and as the CEO and Executive Editor of Media Today. He participated as a co-founder of Slow News in 2012 and later became its CEO, a position he currently holds. His main areas of interest include journalism ecosystems, platform fairness, digital transformation, solutions journalism, and the evolutions of the public sphere. He holds a master’s degree in Science Journalism from KAIST and is currently an adjunct professor at Sungkonghoe University. He is the author of Paradise of Speculative Capital, Economists in Korea, and Problem-Solving Journalism.

P. Vaidyanathan Iyer is the Managing Editor of The Indian Express, leading its newsroom’s digital transformation. A recipient of multiple awards, he has won the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award twice, the KC Kulish Award of Merit, and the Prem Bhatia Award for Political Reporting and Analysis. An Edward Mason Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School, he holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University.
Arkka Dhiratara is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hukumonline, Indonesia’s largest regulatory technology (reg-tech) company. He has driven AI-powered innovation and successfully diversified the company’s revenue streams. He previously served as Hukumonline’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) from 2018 to 2020, where he spearheaded a major digital transformation. Before joining the private sector, Arkka spent five years at the Executive Office of the President of Indonesia, where he led the development of key national digital platforms, including the public service complaint system and the country’s open data portal.

Jaemark Tordecilla started his journalism career at the Philippine Center for Investigation, where he was part of the team that won Agence France-Presse’s Kate Webb Prize for coverage of the 2009 Maguindanao Massacre. He later served as the head of digital media at GMA News Online, overseeing digital publishing and audience development activities as well as establishing Digital Strategy and Innovation Lab (DigiLab). In 2021, he was honored with The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) Award, one of the Philippines’ top honors for young civic leaders.
In 2023–24, he was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University, where he focused on the implications of generative AI in the media industry. He currently collaborates on innovation projects with newsrooms across Asia. His work on developing AI tools for newsrooms in developing countries has been featured by the Reuters Institute. His research and insights on AI in journalism have also been cited in key industry reports, including the Reuters Institute’s Digital News Report 2024 and WAN-IFRA’s Innovation in News Media World Report 2024–25.
Wongpun Amarinthewa, an editor at The101.world since 2020, specializes in reporting on international affairs, economics, human rights, digital rights, and investigative journalism. His work has earned prestigious accolades, including the Human Rights Media Award from Amnesty International Thailand, the Isra Amantakul Award from the Thai Journalists Association, and the Digital News Excellence Awards from the Society for Online News Providers. Before joining The101.world, he worked as an international news reporter for Thai News Agency, MCOT Plc, and as a correspondent for Nippon Television’s Bangkok Bureau.

With over 30 years of experience in journalism, he has been part of the industry’s transformation from traditional print to digital media. He previously served as an editor at United Daily News, deputy editor-in-chief at Convergence News Network, editor-in-chief of udn.com, and deputy general manager at United Online. As director of the New Media Center, he led the development of United Daily News Plus, the organization’s first tablet application.

Je Bing Huang previously served as the editor-in-chief of various magazines, a newspaper journalist and editor, and the deputy editor-in-chief of a news website. He authored books including ‘News Never Dies, Just Gasping’ and ‘The Future of Media: A Vision’, and currently holds the position of editorial consultant at CommonWealth Magazine.
Isis Lee currently serves as Vice President of Radio Taiwan International (Rti), where she has been a key member of the leadership team since 2022. In this role, she oversees the network’s foreign language services, global strategy, and the Rti Academy. With extensive experience across both governmental and non-governmental sectors in Taiwan, Lee previously held the position of Director of the Global Outreach Office at the Ministry of Culture, Executive Director of B.S. Heritage and House in Hsinchu, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Taiwan Association of Cultural Policy Studies.
Throughout her career, Lee has specialized in cultural management, cultural diplomacy, international exchange, and policy research, consistently advancing initiatives that connect Taiwan with the global community through culture and communication.

Ethan Tu is the founding administrator of PTT, Taiwan’s largest BBS platform, and the founder of Taiwan AI Labs. He currently serves as the chairman of the Taiwan AI Development Foundation. His previous roles include Director of AI Research for Microsoft in the Asia-Pacific region and Software Engineering Section Chief at the National Human Genome Research Institute of the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). In 2017, he returned to Taiwan from the United States to establish Taiwan AI Labs—the first nonprofit AI research institution in Asia. The lab promotes trustworthy AI innovation through open algorithms, open-source code, and federated learning. Tu has been deeply committed to advancing a wide range of AI applications, with the vision of building human-centered AI from Taiwan for the benefit of the world.

Greta Wen has worked for various media outlets across television, magazines, and online platforms, and has served as a lecturer at several universities and organizations. Since 2020, she has been serving as the executive director of the foundation.
