NAHJ study: Investigative newsrooms don’t reflect communities they cover

A two-year survey of 22 major metro newsrooms found that investigative news reporters and editors are overwhelmingly white. The survey — conducted by the National Assn. of Hispanic Journalists between 2021 and 2023 and published Wednesday — reveals that 60% of investigative news reporters are white.
