英國發行量公信會(Audit Bureau of Circulations，簡稱ABC)新近發表對全國271份消費者雜誌的統計顯示，上半年總發行量為46.2百萬本，與去年同期的46百萬本比較，微升0.1%。不過，減去各類免費派發雜誌不計，經報攤銷售及訂閱的雜誌總銷量則告下跌，去年同期為27.2百萬本，今年上半年跌至25.2百萬本，跌幅7.1%。

　　話雖如此，新聞時事雜誌，兒童雜誌則逆流而上，都見持續回升。兒童雜誌升幅達15.9%，新聞時事雜誌上升7%，此外，綜合性雜誌也有6.2%升幅，電視節目雜誌升1%。

　　至於銷量下跌重災區是男性雜誌，一向暢銷的男性雜誌Nuts銷量下跌22.5%，同類的Zoo下跌多達32.1%。女性雜誌也下跌嚴重，婦女週刊類一般下跌8%，一向暢銷的Heat 下跌達21.7%。

　　近年雜誌銷量整體下跌，但也榮辱互見。英國期刊出版商協會(PPA)總裁Barry McIlheney分析上述統計數字時指出，雜誌業在媒體市場上仍有其持續力量，成功之道在於創意革新，更要善用線上、行動裝置、社交網絡等帶來的種種新機遇。

　　在雜誌網上版銷量方面，ABC的統計清楚顯示，網上版銷量目前仍然微不足道。

　　雜誌網上版一般是將印刷版製成傳真版型式，供訂戶下載。一般而言，網上版銷量佔雜誌的總銷量竟不到1%。據雜誌出版商提供的數據，只有Hello 及Men’s Health兩本雜誌各有網上版訂戶超過一千而已。
